On Wednesday, Feb. 5, former Roane County High School standout Nathan McNelley’s current college team, the UVA Wise Cavaliers, won 8-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Bluefield State Big Blues.

The game took place at Burchell Stallard Baseball Field. This was their sixth matchup against the Big Blues this season.

The Cavaliers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at Burchell Stallard Baseball Field against Union Bulldogs.
