Congratulations to former UT Turf Manager Matthew Layne on receiving his Innovation Award from UT Research Foundation! Layne co-invented patent-pending Powershed technology along with Solar Alliance, solving the challenge of safely provide turf maintenance in hard-to-reach areas. UT Research Foundation provides support for ideas like Powershed in moving from the research to the licensing phase. Veteran anchor Alan Williams recently visited UT Campus to see Powershed at work and interview UTRF Vice President Dr. Maha Krishnamurthy about promoting entrepreneurialism.
