Blount County Mayor's Office It was my honor and privilege to be part of the recent Eagle Scout Presentation for Abram Abbott

056e

It was my honor and privilege to be part of the recent Eagle Scout Presentation for Abram Abbott.

Abram’s Eagle Scout project consisted of building a parking garage and driving lanes for tricycle bikes for students at Sam Houston Elementary School, Abram’s Alma Mater. In order to complete this project, Abram worked with the City of Maryville Police, the City of Maryville Department of Engineering & Public Works, and the Sam Houston Elementary Administration and Staff. This project encourages young students to be physically active and get involved with the outdoors, all things close to Abram’s heart, especially as an Eagle Scout.

Abram’s recognition is very well deserved and young people like him help make Blount County such a special place to live.

Abram is the son of Darby and Emily Abbott, and the grandson of Clint and Darlene Abbott.

The Boy Scouts of America organization continues to prioritize important lifelong skills and community involvement. Their mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Congratulations, Abram on your recent accomplishment and thank you for your service to your community.  Keep up the great work!
