It was my honor to present a Joint Proclamation with the Blount County Board of Commissioners last night to many of our Emergency Medical Services personnel.
"Blount County wishes to show our gratitude to all our emergency medical personnel who save lives in our community by risking their own welfare, especially regarding COVID-19 and the increasing opioid and mental health crisis and continue our shared commitment to provide the best patient care to all Blount County citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE I, ED MITCHELL, Mayor of Blount County, and the BLOUNT COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, do hereby proclaim the week of May 15 through May 21, 2022 as National Emergency Medical Services week and ask all citizens to join us to honor the sacrifices of all emergency medical services providers and personnel."
