Maryville closed out its 2022 cross country campaign with a 19th-place showing at the NCAA South Regional Championships.
Isabelle Juda led the Scots once again, posting a time of 26 minutes and 34.4 seconds over the 5K course to account for 63 points. Maleah Wooten was next for Maryville, finishing in 27:54.7 to garner 96 points.
Hannah Mattison chalked up 111 points after she crossed the line in 29:04.5. Then Anastasia Lamar and Madeline Walker rounded out the Maryville scoring. Lamar finished with a time of 32:12.1 for 142 points, and Walker was close behind in 32:28.7 to accumulate 148 points.
The Scots scored 560 as a team and finished ahead of Brevard, Marymount (Va.), Hollins, Methodist, Roanoke, Agnes Scott, Mary Baldwin and Sweet Briar in the standings.
Lynchburg defeated Emory 30-48 for the region title, with Washington & Lee, host Christopher Newport and Berry rounding out the top five. Emory's Annika Urban won individual honors with a time of 22:29.3.
