The Roane State Raiders men’s basketball team dropped their second game in a row losing on the road to Wallace St., 72-63. The loss dropped the Raiders to 3-2 on the young season.
Only nine days earlier, the Raiders fought to a three-point win over Wallace St., 82-79, in Harriman. The re-match did not end as well.
The Lions owned a three-point halftime lead, 29-26, and won the second half by six points, 43-37.
In the game, the Raiders shot only 39-percent (23-59) from the floor. In the teams’ previous meeting the Raiders were ten percent better at 49.2-percent.
Sophomore Kavon Blankenship and freshman Sebastian Tidor each scored 13 to lead Roane St.
The Raiders return to conference action on Saturday at Southwest Tennessee in Memphis.
