Sheriff James Berrong would like to thank Tennessee Senator Art Swann for hosting a reception honoring Blount County's first responders and their families Thursday evening. The reception was held at the Blount County Communications center, and invitees represented first responder agencies from across Blount County. In addition to Senator Swann, other dignitaries included Tennessee's Lt. Governor Randy McNally, Senate Majority Leader Jack Johnson, Representative Jerome Moon, and Representative Lowell Russell.
