Blount County Sheriff's Office DECEMBER 26. 2022 Travel Advisory: Slick Roads Reported Countywide | Blount County Sheriff's Office
We are receiving reports from our patrol supervisors that this afternoon’s snowfall is causing slick roads throughout the county. Sheriff’s deputies are currently working multiple vehicle accidents. Snow is in the forecast for the remainder of the evening, but temperatures are expected to remain below freezing until mid-morning Tuesday, so roads may remain slick through the night.
Sheriff James Berrong is asking you to remain at home unless travel is absolutely necessary. Patrol deputies are responding to all calls for service as usual.
The forecast for tomorrow and the rest of this week is for warming temperatures. Hopefully driving conditions will begin to improve Tuesday.
