Good morning, Blount County. Our patrol supervisors are reporting that the main arteries around Blount County are mostly clear, but many secondary roads are still slick. As temperatures climb to above freezing later this morning, road  conditions should improve. Meanwhile, if you must travel this morning, give yourself plenty of time, decrease your speed, and leave plenty of room between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. The Blount County Highway Department is out working to clear roadways. 

Patrol deputies are responding to calls for service as normal, and they will get to you as quickly and safely as possible. 

Everybody stay safe out there. Looks like temperatures in the low 40s today and 50s and 60s the remainder of the week.
