The cream is rising to the top in the Collegiate Conference of the South.
Myles Rasnick won the CCS Player of the Week Award for the second week running after leading Maryville to a 2-1 showing. The senior guard averaged 20.7 points and handed out 15 assists against just three turnovers while playing 33.7 minutes per game for the week.
Rasnick shot 59.5 percent from the floor, making 25-of-42, and was 5-of-9 from downtown. He drained all seven of his free throw attempts, improving to 90.2 percent for the season. The Knoxville native averaged 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 steals and blocked three shots.
Rasnick stands fourth in the conference in scoring at 18.1. His 271 points scored gives him 826 for his career, leaving him 174 shy of becoming the 36th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark.
The Scots are back in action this weekend, with the women and men hosting Piedmont on Saturday and Huntingdon on Sunday. Both doubleheaders start at 2 p.m.
