Blount County Sheriff's Office Maryville man charged with multiple sex crime against children following joint investigation | Blount County Sheriff's Office
Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong and Maryville Police Chief Tony J. Crisp announced today that a Maryville man was served seven warrants for sex crimes he committed against two male juveniles beginning in 2018.
On Tuesday, Christian Bartlett Gregory, 38, Louella Drive, Maryville, was served the following warrants issued by the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryville Police Department:
• Two counts of trafficking for commercial sex act
• Rape of a child
• Solicitation of a minor
• Two counts of continuous sexual abuse of a child
• Aggravated sexual battery.
Gregory is being held in the Blount County Correctional Facility on bonds totaling $950,000 pending a hearing in Blount County General Sessions Court at 9 a.m. March 14, 2023.
In February, investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and Maryville Police Department opened a joint investigation after two juvenile males disclosed that Gregory, who was a close family friend, touched them inappropriately and solicited sexual acts from them beginning in 2018 and continued until February 2023. In return, Gregory bought them gifts, including gaming systems, toys, and clothes. The boys, who are brothers, were ages 10 and 12 when the abuse began. The incidents took place in locations in Maryville and Blount County.
The U.S. Marshals Service Smokey Mountain Fugitive Task Force and Sevier County Street Crimes Unit located and arrested Gregory in a motel in Gatlinburg Monday afternoon without incident.
Gregory continues to cooperate with investigators and shared information regarding multiple incidents during interviews.
