The Collegiate Conference of the South on Monday recognized Maryville's Annie Fowler and Paige Dickinson for their roles in helping the Scots to a 5-0 Spring Break week.
Fowler batted .583 (7-for-12) and drove in a team-leading seven runs. The Everett, Washington, senior scored twice and ripped three doubles, with one stolen base. For the season, Fowler is up to .400 and leads the team with 13 RBIs in just 12 games played.
Dickinson was second on the team in batting during the week at .538 (7-for-13), and she also picked up a pitching victory at Emory. The first-year righthander from Nolensville went 6.0 innings that day, allowing one run on three hits. For the week, Dickinson was 1-0 with an 0.81 ERA over 8.2 innings. At the plate, she scored six runs and drove in five, with three doubles and four walks.
Maryville defeated Rhodes once, Emory twice and Berea twice while outscoring the opposition 56-9 and batting .415 in those five games.
