Census Bureau: 79.8% of people in Blount County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 134,042 citizens living in Blount County in 2021, 79.8% were old enough to vote, equating to 106,941 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 51,690 were male, constituting 48.3%, and 55,251 were female, making up 51.7%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Blount County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 77.6%.
